The Benton County Sheriff's Department holds regular Sheriff's Sales on county properties.

Notices are published in the Benton Review on Wednesdays.

All Sheriff Sales are at 10:00 A.M. on the stated date in the Benton County Sheriff’s Department.

Legal descriptions are posted in the Benton Review Newspaper and posted at the North Entrance of the Benton County Courthouse.

The Sheriffs' Department does not warrant the accuracy of the street address published on the Notice of Sheriff Sale.
SHERIFF'S SALE PROCEDURES:

You must be present in order to bid on any property

The Bank will start the bidding and verbal bidding will follow.

Do not bid if you are unsure about the property.

It is the bidder's responsibility to find out if taxes are due.

Property taxes are paid by the buyer in the Treasurers' Office after the sale.

Bank certified checks (guaranteed funds) for the full amount of the bid are due in the Sheriffs' Office by 2:00 P.M. on the same day as the sale.

Defendant(s) are supposed to be out by 10:00 A.M. on the day of the sale.

If the defendant(s) are still in the property at the time of the sale, the buyer will need to file for an Order of Eviction in the court of said action.
