In September of 2026 Benton County EMS received grant funding from the Indiana Department of Health Rural  Healthcare Transformation Program. Benton County is art of the Growing Rural Opportunities for Well-being (GROW) Regional Initiative. Indiana RHTP is a statewide initiative supported by $207 million in federal funding for the 2026-
2027 year, approved by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. 

 

RHTP is a centerpiece of Gov. Mike Braun's focus on improving healthcare access and affordability and administered by the Indiana Family and  Social Services Administration and the Indiana Department of Health.
