Welcome!

Benton County is located in north central Indiana, situated half-way between Indianapolis and Chicago on the Illinois State Line.  Our County is over 90 percent agriculture and is one of Indiana’s top agriculture communities thanks to our rich, high-yielding soil.  We may be known for our wide open spaces, rich farm ground and traditional farming, however in 2008 we welcomed the future and became known as the "Home of Indiana's FIRST wind farm."

Can I tour a Benton County Wind Farm? 
Absolutely! Tours run from April-October and can be scheduled by calling the Economic Development Office at 884-2080 ext. 4, or email: windtours@bentoncounty.in.gov. Click Here to see what a tour is all about!

The Benton Fountain Warren Adult Education program offers a GED prep class in Oxford on Tues./Thurs. 4-7pm in the CAP offices.  Contact the Learning Center at 765-764-1880 or "like" them on Facebook for more information about any of the classes they offer.  They offer welding certification classes, C.N.A. classes in Williamsport, HVAC Maintenance Course, CDL Courses.
