Benton County is located in north central Indiana, situated half-way between Indianapolis and Chicago on the Illinois State Line. Our County is over 90 percent agriculture and is one of Indiana’s top agriculture communities thanks to our rich, high-yielding soil. We may be known for our wide open spaces, rich farm ground and traditional farming, however in 2008 we welcomed the future and became known as the "Home of Indiana's FIRST wind farm."

Racing is returning to Benton County! Michael and Kim Daugherty purchased the former Benton County Speeway (now Daugherty Speedway) in late 2013. The track was closed in 2009 and sat untouched until now. The Daugherty's were amazed when two hundred people showed up for a volunteer pitch in and clean up day. The Daughertys and many volunteers have worked hard since November to get the track ready for the first race May 3rd. Visit www.indianadirtracing.com for schedules and other happenings.
